Pursuant to the Rule 7 read with schedule – III of the Rajasthan Judicial Service Rules, 2010 it is notified that in the Civil Judge Cadre 114 vacancies have been determined for the year 2011 which are categorized in the following manner:-

NOTE:

The determination of vacancies is inclusive of 10% posts being part of the cadre strength which are provided in Schedule – I for leave/reserve/ training/deputation in the cadre of District Judge, Senior Civil Judge and Civil Judge.

The 43 posts determined against the Fast Track Courts are purely temporary in nature. In case the Fast Track Courts are abolished the officers appointed against these posts may preferably be adjusted against the vacancies which may arise due to retirements otherwise they will be discharged from service . In that case they will not claim any right on this account.

Preliminary examination of Rajasthan Judicial Services

Strategy for preparation of different subjects for Preliminary examination of Rajasthan Judicial Services:

1.       Applicants shall keep one statement in mind, what Sir Stephen had said while presenting the report of the select committee on Indian Evidence Act – “The general object kept in view, in framing it, has been to produce something from which a student might derive a clear, comprehensive and distinct knowledge of the subject, with necessary labours but not, of course, without that degree of careful and sustained attention which is necessary in order to master any important and intricate matter”.

2.       First and foremost, go through all the amendments made in 2008; even those which have not been Notified and do comparative studies

3.       Be perfectly clear in the interpretation of each and every topics as well as provisions

4.       Questions will be concept based

5.       Get hold of the concepts first, like Joint Criminal Liability, Legal Insanity, Right of Private Defence, Alternate Punishments etc.

6.       Take care of all the illustrations, General and Special Exceptions

7.       Group Headings

8.       Essentials of offences

9.       Distinctions between related offences; supported with judicial pronouncements. For example, while making distinctions between Culpable Homicide and Murder, we have four leading cases and it all started with “In Re Barkatulla 1887”. Just remember you are not taking exam of LLB but Judicial Magistrate!!!!

11.   Do the interconnections with Criminal Procedure Code and Indian Evidence Act

12.   Check the basics first

13.   All the procedures must be on your tip; their object / their stage / important case laws / your own views.

14.   Interconnect Substantive Part with Procedural Part

16.   Carefully check the effect of any irregularities made in the procedure part

17.   Do the interconnections of different provision (in reference to, Indian Penal Code / Indian Evidence Act / Constitution of India)

18.   Take special care of Judicial Pronouncements relating to Indian Constitution
